Services provided by Dulwich Helpline volunteers
Please note that the list below is only of our current top priorities for volunteering. We're especially keen to recruit new volunteers who would like to help us with any of these things
Our volunteers do many other things, besides those that are listed. For information on all volunteer opportunities, please contact Jean Hedden. Email jean@dulwich-helpline.org.uk, or phone 020 8299 4594.

| Gardening | Our volunteer gardeners help older people with jobs they just can't manage any more. Light gardening jobs like cutting the lawn, weeding a flowerbed, or trimming the hedge. |
| Transport help | Many of the people we work with are not very mobile. Our transport volunteers provide the odd lift to an older person, by car, to help with keeping appointments and maintaining a social life. |
| Groups and activities | We run a number of groups for older people across our local area. These include a reading group, art appreciation, reminiscence, and gentle exercise. As well as activities, we value the pleasure of simply coming together to meet other people for a chat and some light refreshments. |
| Practical Help | Volunteers help with simple practical tasks including accompanying someone on a shopping trip, reading newspapers, books or documents, and sorting out that light bulb or doorbell that doesn't work. |
| Visiting | Simply dropping in on an older person on a regular basis can be a great help, and we have many volunteers who do just that. It can be the start of getting someone involved in local life once again. |
